New Hull Office Open For Business

The PC Support Group is continuing to grow with the opening of a new office in Hull. The new office will provide IT support and expertise to businesses and home users across Hull and throughout East Yorkshire.

The branch is headed up by Regional Director, Andrew Low, who has 20 years’ experience in the IT industry, bringing with him extensive understanding and knowledge of delivering professional IT services to the commercial sector.

The PC Support Group is the ‘Most Loved’ IT Support Company in the UK

Phil Bird & MattThe PC Support Group have topped a poll by the website www.thebestof.co.uk to be crowned as  ‘The most loved Computer Services and IT Support’ company in Britain. The poll which was carried out between the 1st-14th February asked businesses and individuals to vote for their favourite companies.

The PC Support Group came out top in ‘the most loved Computer Services and IT Support’ category as well as being one of the top 30 loved companies in Britain across all the categories.

“We are absolutely delighted to have picked up this award” said Phil Bird, Managing Director of The PC Support Group. “We work hard to ensure our customers come first, so it is a great honour that they have voted for us. This award shows that we really do offer our customers an excellent service that they can rely on.”

The PC Support Group Open New Office In Glasgow

After a successful 2011 The PC Support Group has started 2012 going from strength to strength by continuing to expand with the opening of the Glasgow office.

The new office will provide professional  expertise and IT support to small business and home users throughout North Glasgow and surrounding areas.

The branch will be headed up by Rob Dickie, who has 15 years’ experience in the IT industry, having previously worked as ICT manager for McKean Group Ltd. Rob brings with him a vast knowledge of industry technologies and technical support.

Regional Directors Get Together To Plan For The Future

The PC Support Group recently welcomed Regional Directors to their annual Directors day at the company’s Head Office in Liverpool.

The day gave an opportunity to connect with colleagues across the country, share best practices and success stories.

The annual event began with opening remarks from Phil Bird, Managing Director of The PC Support Group, who provided highlights and an overview of the last 12 months and plans for the upcoming year.

The day also featured a series of small group breakout sessions and presentations by guest speakers on marketing, delivering five star customer service and finance.

“Despite the harsh economic climate, the company has grown significantly over the last few years and we have ambitious plans for continued growth. Our Directors day provided a valuable opportunity for our Directors across the country to come together and update on the business and exchange ideas” said Phil. “As a company, it’s important to have these forums to focus on both professional and personal growth, and we were pleased to see an enthusiastic response to the event from our Directors. We had a productive meeting, and as always it was great to get together with the whole national team.”

New Head of Marketing at The PC Support Group

The PC Support Group has appointed Joe Woodford in the newly created position as Head of Marketing. Joe will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of marketing and communications to support the continued growth and success of The PC Support Group throughout the UK.

Prior to his appointment at The PC Support Group, Joe was Marketing Manager with the Northwest Regional Development Agency for over four years where he was responsible for marketing and the strategic development of business growth in the region.

Commenting on his appointment Joe says: “It is an exciting time for The PC Support Group. I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead and building on the company’s reputation of providing small businesses and home users with high quality, professional IT support.”

The PC Support Group sets up “Mary Queen of Shops” training centre

Liverpool council leader Cllr Joe Anderson has officially opened a new training centre aimed at boosting retail jobs in the city. Academy One, in Hanover Street, is a retail training venture between the city’s Liverpool One shopping centre, the National Skills Academy for Retail and Birkenhead training provider Scientiam, which has invested more than £170,000 in creating the centre.

The PC Support Group (Warrington) worked with Scientiam to define the required IT infrastructure and were responsible for the supply and installation of infrastucture. They are also providing ongoing support to ensure the training centre continues to operate effectively.

Holly Tonge, Operations Manager at Scientium said “We have been working with The PC Support Group for about 2 ½ years now. We have gone from utilising their services at one site to 4 in this time. During this time they have been reliable, helpful, efficient and professional.”

The Academy has already helped more than 50 long-term unemployed Merseysiders into work. It offers state- of-the-art training and conference facilities, including a mock shop, and will be the sole point of delivery of the Mary ‘Queen of Shops’ Portas Masterclasses aimed at independent retailers.

Cllr Anderson praised the centre’s input into improving skills and training.

Zen Internet Gold Partner status awarded to The PC Support Group

The PC SZEN Gold Partnerupport Group has been awarded Gold Partner status with Zen Internet.

The broadband connection is one of the key areas of any company’s IT infrastructure as it is the gateway to an ever growing list of business critical functionality including email,

Apparently the 17th January was officially the most depressing day of the year but we’re pleased to say that we’re not letting these statistics get us down. This week saw The PC Support Group opening a new office to provide local computer support to businesses and homes throughout Cumbria.

Chris Coles (right) has joined us to run the operation throughout Cumbria from his base near Lancaster.

Chris joins the group with a huge amount of IT support experience, most recently with BAE Systems, and he is enthusiastic about how The PC Support Group can help businesses and home users.

He says “Having spent many years applying best practice principles in the corporate world I’m looking forward to helping smaller businesses and home users get the best from their IT. All too often sound professional advice is not available to this market so I’m excited to be part of The PC Support Group as this as at the heart of our offering”

He added “Times are hard right now and technology can play a huge part in helping or hindering a business. I’m looking forward to being able to offer first class IT support throughout the region with a big focus on great customer service, something that is often lacking these days”
